Harvest, Harvest, Harvest

It’s the busiest, most exhausting, and most rewarding time of year at Grasshopper Farms.

Since the Harvest Moon rose at the end of September, our teams in Michigan and Colorado have been in the fields around the clock, seven days a week. Plants are coming down, dry rooms are filling up, and the Class of 2026 will be hitting shelves soon.

The Heart of Harvest

We can’t talk about harvest without highlighting the incredible people who make it happen.

Harvest season is demanding. The days are long, the work is exhausting, and every detail matters. But you’d never know how tired our team is from the effort they put in each day.

They’re focused. They’re precise. They take pride in their work, and they look out for one another. Even when the days get tough, their commitment never wavers.

Great harvests don’t happen by accident. They’re the result of people who care deeply about what they do and the people standing beside them.

Care Doesn’t Quit at Harvest

A season of hard work doesn’t end when the plants come down. In many ways, it’s where all that attention to detail really pays off.

Each plant is carefully weighed, hung, bucked, trimmed, cured, and checked for quality. Every step matters, and our team approaches this final stretch with the same precision and pride they’ve put into growing our plants all season long.

Afroman Approved

When the king of cannabis himself, Afroman, rolled through Paw Paw, we knew we had to connect with him. The team caught his show, met him backstage, and sent him off with a Grasshopper Farms care package: flower, pre-rolls, and one of our signature shirts.

And the next day? He was spotted rocking the shirt around town.

A Little Magic in the Fields

Harvest season always brings a few extra visitors to the farm!

This month, our praying mantises were hard at work as part of our natural pest management efforts, a curious house sparrow stopped by, and we even spotted a beautiful cloud rainbow overhead.

Is Almost Here

Harvest is wrapping up, and before long, the fruits of our labor will make their way to retailers across Michigan and Colorado!

We’re especially excited about some new additions to our lineup this year, including Grape Gas and Super Buff Cherries, alongside the strains you already know and love.

The Skeleton Crew

Harvest season takes a lot out of you. Just ask the latest member of our Colorado team.

Affectionately coined “the newest addition to our skeleton crew,” this guy has been keeping an eye on things while our team works through the final stretch of harvest. Although, we’re not sure he’s pulling his weight.

All jokes aside, there’s something special about the way our team finds reasons to laugh—even during the longest, most demanding days of the year.

Because at the end of the day, it’s not just about what we grow. It’s about the people we grow alongside, the memories we make, and the pride we share in a job well done.
